Eyjafjallajoekull continues to blow.

The last time the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland erupted was in 1821 and it was recorded to have spewed ash for two years! Which means it had been dormant for 187 years [source].

187 years and NOW she decides to blow. What a bitch.

And there's no telling how much longer she intends to spew out ash either.

According to the intergovernmental body that manages European travel a whopping 17,000 flights have so far been cancelled. Germany's closure included airports in Berlin, Frankfurt and Duesseldorf [source].

I had a peek at Flightradar24.com to see what the live aircraft traffic looks like above Europe and at 1:39pm [Germany Time] you can clearly see there isn't much going on.

So to much disappointment it looks like the BAXX boys won't be making their European debut at In Qontrol this Saturday after all.

I'm so upset. *pouts*

But i can't imagine how gutted the boys must feel right now. Or how the thousands of others feel who've been stranded at airports and have been forced to cancel holidays/work plans because of this...

ITN News - 15. April 2010 Footage has been released of an erupting volcano in Iceland which is effecting flights in and out of the UK, as clouds of ash spread.
