L'Eau de Pee-pee.

Last night somebody peed on my bed… again and i'm damn sure it wasn't J or i.

There i was neatly tucked in between my day old fresh sheets and Luna was digging furiously at my duvet like she had found some kind of treasure. After a few minutes i decided to investigate under the covers and true enough there was a pool of liquid directly below the area she had started digging.

All i could think of was, why was it on my side of the bed, damn it! What did i do?

And more importantly, who was it!?

J wasn't exactly very thrilled and grabbed Luna off the bed.

Of course, the little fire cracker didn't give up without a fight and tried to claw her way out. J then grabbed the spray water bottle and chased Yoshi out of the room too.

Poor thing, he was just chillin' in the corner and didn't know what hit him.

I tried to explain to J that i read that there could be four possible reasons why cats pee on their owners' bed; Medical, Stress, Unsatisfactory litter box or the fact that they are both not yet spayed/neutered and are simply marking their territory.

J, however is convinced that it's because i smother Yoshi with so much affection - which is somewhat true but i can't help it.

He says it's because i give so much attention to him and then there are times i ignore him [because i do have a life of my own] and he then gets jealous.

Luna is one of those independent, don't-touch-me cats and is always on the move. Yoshi is quite the opposite and must have some kind of contact with someone, mostly me, in order to feel at ease. He is either on my lap when i'm working or when i'm lying on the sofa, he's curled up on my chest.

He finds it necessary that he rubs his face on my face. I reckon it's just a territorial issue.

So last night the babies were, and probably are, banished from our bedroom. I slept on a towel on top of layers of paper towels soaking up a concoction of cat pee and Vanish cleaning liquid.

...

As a rule, all cats coming from the animal shelter must be neutered/castrated when they are of age. Which is probably why it cost so much to begin with. The initial bulk of the money goes to the neutering/castration procedure.

Anyway, we were told 6 months is a good age but now they're about 5 months and i think it's time. So Monday they have an appointment to get their bits snipped!

And so here are their vouchers valid at any vet. Yup, it's that bloody expensive in Germany!

Maybe that's why they're acting up.

They know… THEY KNOW something is going on. Why? Cause they're smart that way. Or maybe somebody is just pissed off at me.

But i'm on a mission to find some kind of liquid that supposedly breaks down the enzymes and can remove the smell. Because as cats are creatures of habits, chances are it will happen again [as this is the second time] and i don't want our bed to have a L'Eau de Pee-pee scent to it.

Who would? That's just gross.
