Mission: Remove P to the double E.

I've read and have been informed [thank you Fallah] that good' ol' fashion Vinegar can do the trick in removing that nasty pee stench. Just mix 1 part Vinegar with 2 parts distilled water and with a bit of patience and a helluva lot of Febreeze the smell will be gone. And if there's some heavy duty marking, then go with a half and half combination.

But before i went digging through the cupboard to look for some vinegar, i thought i'd make an emergency pit stop at the pet store on the way to the supermarket. All that measuring and uncertainty of whether vinegar would help got me on edge. I want chemicals damn it!

And found this…

It has these enzymes that supposedly breaks down the substance and like magic removes it. It even claims to works against red wine, blood, coffee, milk and grass stains. How fancy.

Oh and also this…

Which has nothing to do with me removing the smell and stain but i just thought it looked nasty and wanted to share. Yup, a whole section for dried pig's ears. And if you're lucky, even some hair included.

Mmmm… gets right in between them teeth!

Anyway, i've had a go at drenching the questionable stain, letting it dry and chucking it in the wash. And i'm happy to say the funky smell is gone. Now my blanket and sheets just reek of soap suds, disinfectant and flowers.

Fingers crossed that the 8,49€ that i invested actually worked and doesn't entice anymore puddles.

So i spent a huge chunk of the night and part of the morning doing work at my computer. But look who decided to snuggle up and be friendly... for a whole 5 minutes. Luna has a fond liking towards the space bar for some reason and her excitement nearly knocked over my vodka orange.

Needless to say our bonding moment ended.

She looks a bit evil here. Maybe because i had the flash on. But i assure you she was loving it. I figured out a way to get her to purr almost instantly - just stroke that little white patch just below her throat.

But i had to capture this rare moment because she absolutely detests it when she's carried or has an arm around her. I swear, she can be so ungrateful.

I gave them a lot of attention today because in approximately 13 hours, whether they like it or not, both brother and sister will have to say good-bye to their bitty bits.

And just so you know and before it's too late, incest is so very wrong.

I hate to tell you but that spray is a waste of money. What you need to do is, do you brew coffee? If you do, take the coffee bits after grinding, like a teaspoon with water in a spray and a tad of bleach. Then spray the area, let it soak for a bit before wiping it off or rinsing. Cats hate the coffee scent and bleach makes them grossed out so they won't pee at the same area again. :)

Anon: Interesting. Thanks so much for the tip!

Well i'll be sure to save my coffee grains next time. And that reminds me, i gotta go buy some bleach.

By the way, one teaspoon of coffee grains to about how much water? Are we talking about a cup [100ml]?

Roughly. Just as long as they can smell the coffee, they repell.
