Looking for Hooded Scarves or Hats with Ears.

It's starting to get cold again and i'm sure it won't be long until i'm dusting off snowflakes. Around this time yesterday it dipped down to 2˚ Celsius, which is absurd considering that Autumn just started last week.

I like fleece scarves better, as it tends to keep me warmer. As for wearing beanies, i own one and usually only wear it when it's super cold. I've got a rather large head, so my sister likes to tell me, and whenever i wear a beanie i feel like it just emphasises its existence.

Or maybe i'm just paranoid.

But for the longest time i've wanted a fleece hat with little ears propped on top. For no other reason but i think that they look cute. I haven't quite decided which one i prefer more, a hooded scarf or just a hat with ear flaps.

I guess when it dips down below zero degrees Celsius, one does not care so much how silly one looks. Staying warm should be ones' priority.

And so i scouted for them on Etsy.

But i need YOUR opinion, as i can't decide, which one would suit me better...

And how cute is this bear hooded scarf with pockets!? I would totally buy this but i'm not sure how reliable it is to order from dililo.com.

And no.

The company name is not called dildo.

o.O

Has anyone ordered anything from them? Should i even trust them?

But after clicking ADD TO CART, a new window opens and says, "Store is currently offline. Checkout is disabled."

I guess that means, no.

So, if any of you have any other links to other places where i could purchase something similar and that ships Internationally, my soon-to-be frozen ears and i would be very grateful.

Ooooh, they're so damn cute! I've also always wanted to have a hat or a hoodie like this.
I definitely go for the one which says "gobbolino". Cuuuute :3

By the way I also have a rather large head (in my eyes it's superbig -.-), so for me it's very hard to find a nice hat... but I already thought about crocheting one by myself (but without bunny or cat ears). I really want to do that! Just need to learn how to crochet, haha.

Yea i think the gobbolino one is totally adorable too. I think it's made out of terry cloth - the stuff used for teddy bears. So i'm sure it's super soft too.

lol @ us thinking or maybe having rather large heads.

I'm sure if you cruise online for hat patterns, there'll be plenty. Or you could start with crotcheting oven squares for when you need to take out your baked goods out of the oven.

Tell me if it's easy and i might even try it out myself... ahahah.

I lied it's not terry cloth. The description says it's black sherpa fleece.

Hmm, I tried to find out what sherpa fleece is but there are a lot of different answers in the web... some say it's man made from polyester and others say it's wool from lambs and other animals...? As I don't wear any wool, it would be nice to know ^^

I know someone who crotchets all the time and she says it's super easy. And she also learned it via the internet, haha.

Hmmm... i have no idea. Good question.

I know you're Vegan but may i ask why don't you wear wool? I mean animals are usually not killed for it and are often bread specifically for their fibre such as Alpaca and Angora.

Or is that just your preference, not to wear wool items.

For me it's like with milk and eggs, etc. Even if the animals are not directly killed for milk and eggs, I would still support the whole factory farming that will lead to the death of the animals eventually anyway. And with wool it's kinda the same since there's also lamb meat, sheep's milk, leather etc.
And maybe you've also already heard about "mulesing" which is very common in most of the countries that provide the clothing industry with wool. Sure there are also exceptions and single farms that treat their sheep like pets and just shear them one time a year or so... but I think it would be very difficult to figure out what wool your sweater, etc is made from.
And with breading... I don't know. I don't want animals just to exist for my preferences (the same with dogs, that's why I got my doggie from the animal shelter). I mean there are a lot of alternatives that are sometimes way softer than some scratchy wool - so I don't think that I'm missing something in this regard :)

Soooo, that was a whole lotta vegan talking, haha. Hope you don't mind ;)

No i don't mind.

It's interesting to hear [or read in my case] the opinion of someone who is a strict Vegan and their views.

Although i've heard of people not wearing leather/fur for obvious reasons but not wearing wool was the first time. I guess in that sense you're an animal rights activist.

I guess one just has to be focused when reading labels in the supermarket and whilst clothes shopping.

But what about when you order a pizza? I thought pizza dough includes a little milk.
