Movin' along...

So i've had a bit of a brain freeze the past few days. I don't know whether it's the weather or i've just temporarily lost my drive to dribble in this blog. But don't worry, i will be back once things start picking up.

Talking about things picking up, the past few days it's been super windy. There has been storm warnings and i can hear the windows rattling. First it was snow and now gale force winds. Sometimes it's like a mini hurricane is being brewed outside. But the forecast says that this weekend will be 16 degrees celcius so hopefully they're right!

But apart from the shift in weather, there just isn't really all that much to report.

Nothing that exciting has happened but then again i am in the countryside. My sister lives in a little village and life here is ummm... very quiet compared to the life i've lived. The most exciting thing that's happened this week was watching the rubbish men collect the yellow plastic recycled bins with these cool looking contraptions attached to their truck.

But one thing i will write about is that i'm finally getting a hang of the recycling matter. Remembering which bin each thing goes to requires some memory skills and i've never taken rubbish so seriously. Rubbish is separated into 3 coloured bins. One for bio-degradeable food items, another is for plastics and metals and the third is other items that can't be recycled. Then of course there's another bin for just paper. Apparently Germans take their recycling seriously along with having squeeky clean windows.

See i told you not much goes on.

So instead i watch tv in German. I already have a favorite program that i watch at 2pm. The show is about complete strangers looking for a place to live and they view various flats where they have to share with either one or a number of other flat mates. I can't say i understand much but i reckon 1-2% is better than nothing.

I could write about my waking up patterns and how i spend a portion of my day washing dishes/making sandwiches/cooking but i thought i'd save you the extra reading.

But on another note, early tomorrow morning Boobers and i are heading to our flat to clean it up. We officially move in on the 15th but due to some delay in our kitchen being built, we may not actually move in until next week. But we're getting majority of our items from IKEA so starting from Saturday we'll be busy putting together all the items.

The cable guy is going to install our connection, phone line and internet tomorrow as well, which is great seeing that we were told that there'd be a 2-week wait. But we still need to set up our account, so hopefully that'll be sorted that way i can have access to the outside world.

Slowly but surely, things are being done. I can't believe this Saturday i would have been here for 3 weeks already.
