Type the Sky

Once and awhile i stumble upon some slice of Creativity online and that's usually after clicking through various pages or i had time to spare to cruise. So whilst waiting for Mister KitchenInstaller to complete his job, i decided to continue my hunt for Graphic Design studios and perhaps try my luck.

Of course i didn't find anything but i did come across one site called dezeen which serves as an online Design Magazine with a bunch of purposes. The bold sanserif type aids in navigation and it's a nice change from the ordinary Arial font. It lists a tiny handful of design jobs amongst a whole load of links. I'm not sure what i clicked but i came across some interesting typography that i thought i'd share.

"Type the Sky by Lisa Rienermann is an alphabet formed of shapes buildings make against the sky when photographed from below." [source]

It was presented in a book and although the quotes were translated from German into English, i'm interested to see what the other pages have as i'm sure it shows the process and thoughts behind it. And even though i don't understand German... i'm going to think positive and say, one day i will!

I wanna be a Creative smarty pants too!
