Just One of Those Weekends.

Not so much happened over the weekend even though i thought that maybe J had planned something, considering it was our anniversary last week. But J had to work on Saturday, leaving me most of the day sitting in front of my computer catching up on work.

But he did surprise me by going to the supermarket and buying a weeks' worth of groceries so i wouldn't starve.

So i guess that's Love.

We went to borrow a bunch of DVDs to fill the boredom; Kick-Ass, Bronson, G.I. Joe and Everybody's Fine.

Then Sunday we decided to take a bike ride into the city, only to find out it was Open Sunday and all the shops were open. Which felt like the whole town and neighbouring villages came to visit. It was strange to see the city centre so packed and with bicycles taking over most of pedestrian walkway, it felt claustrophobic.

We even tried to go into one of the department stores but it was packed to the brim. It didn't take long for us to realise that they had also left the heaters on even though it was over 20˚ Celsius outside.

SWEAT VILLE!

Feeling slightly flustered and with J complaining that he wore too many layers, we decided it was time for what the Germans like to say, Kaffee und Kuchen - Coffee and Cake. And so we made our way to a nearby bakery hoping to find two seats.

The cake wasn't that good but the square-like doughnut covered in icing sugar and filled with jam and pudding was delicious! Had we known it tasted as good as it did, i would have said no to cake and told J to order two of them instead.

We also checked out a hair shop that sold saloon-style hair dye, whereby one needs to mix the ingredients oneself in those plastic bowls. I was told i could technically apply the colour myself but now that my hair drapes down past my waist, my worry is that i'll miss a massive chunk and end up running around with different coloured patches on my head.

Better to leave it to the professionals.

And so i made an appointment for Tuesday [today] to get my hair coloured and trimmed. I just hope they don't fuck it up.

Then on our way back found ourselves in a gaming store that also sold DVDs for cheap and so he bought six DVDs for 15 Euros. Then he spent the rest of the evening playing his little Ship Game and i went to bed alone.

Not exactly the best weekend to date since J was super grumpy too and was recovering from the past few weeks of stress.

But we'll see, maybe this weekend will be better.
