I woke up this morning and was greeted by the bluest sky. The sun was out in full glory and i could hear the birds gossiping away. A nice change compared to the previous grey filled months. I never thought i'd be so happy to see the sun before. It gave me the motivation to shower and change before midday just so i could run some errands and say hello to my shadow.
Everything i need is in walking distance, so it made the chore rather pain-free. One less layer of clothing is always good and i think i even felt a sweat coming on. And seeing specks of colour emerging from the earth is far more comforting than dead leaves. Although i much prefer Autumn with its' change of colours and one doesn't have to worry about hay fever.
But on my way home from the supermarket, i decided to take the more scenic route back. Checking in on the ducks always seem to bring a smile to my face. And i guess with Spring just a few weeks away, Nature is waking up from her slumber and soon the ducklings and wild bunnies will be out to play.
And with the temperature somewhere along the mid teens, it's perfect to just sit back and relax. Sip a freshly grounded coffee, suck down a cancer stick and take a moment to reflect on Life just before you have to get back to work.
