Saying Good-Bye...

My day was filled with doing last minute changes to my Project, running errands, sifting through hundreds of photos of the times Little L was over for the weekend and of the random places we all went to.

After work, J and i spent part of the afternoon looking for a little gift for Baby A at baby-walz and found this super soft, multi-functional, cute little lion by Nattou. It flattens out into a mini blanket and also serves as a finger puppet.

I think it's very cute and hey, i might even consider getting one for myself. Nothing wrong with a bit of entertainment.

J had also bought Little L a golden locket during Christmas and engraved her name in it. We kept it at our place for safe keeping but then thought we'd give it to her when she leaves. J thought it would be a good idea to put a mini photo of him and her mother in it as a means to show her that she is loved dearly by both of her parents whereever she goes. And seeing that he doesn't have Photoshop or know how to operate it, i offered to resize their heads.

We then spent an hour and half at the Kodak Printer machine at DM resizing and making collages of the 80+ chosen pictures. We figured it would be a nice little go-away present for Little L so she can look back and remember the times she spent with us.

But then decided maybe giving a 6 year-old 3 A4 sheets with mini photos may not be so practical and they may end up getting torn. And we weren't sure whether her mother would be too pleased having a photo of us 3 pinned up on their new wall should Little L insist on pasting it up.

So instead we got her a mini album that fits 36. That way she has the option of carrying it around or tucking it under her bed. We printed out the best ones and included a handful of photos J had of her when she was an itty bitty baby. Let's just hope she'll be able to hang on to all her gifts, so when she's older she'll have greater appreciation for them.

But i should go to bed soon.

We need to wake up at 6:30am because we've offered to take the kids to the airport whilst the Mother takes a cab with all their luggage. But i'm looking forward to riding in the back with Baby A and i'll be sure to take some photos of him and his new blankey.
