Recycled Vector Art 2009

If you're wondering why the current masthead looks familiar, it's because it was inspired by the upper back tattoo i designed for myself in 2007.

And being the smart cookie that i can be at times, i checked my folders and found the original illustrator file tucked away. So that saved me heaps of time in figuring out what i could possibly replace the empty masthead with.

OK i admit it, it was a bit of a cop out since the basic idea was there and with a handful of editing, a script font and a sprinkle of creativity, i think, i managed to pull it off. Don't you think?

I might change it. I might not.

But i guess it all depends on whether something else tickles my fancy. But more importantly, whether i can actually be bothered to come up with something else. But the longer i stare at it, the more i want to adjust the curves and the spacing. But i'll stop being anal for awhile and just say, i'm content with the results.

I don't even know if anybody cared that i had the same layout for what seemed like ages but i thought i'd be daring and step out of the darkness. Although i must admit, the light background is rather uplifting much like a good fitting bra or an icy cold beer on a hot summer's day.

somehow the new masthead reminds me of some old-school sailor jerry like tattoo...think its the gradient at the ends...

pastel is definitely a change from the old theme...its nice to read the text on white..

anyway....the new masthead is kinda nice..the stars somehow make it sparkle heh

E: ahahha... yea the new and hopefully improved version. Not sure about the fluro yellow though, Canary yellow maybe. But who knows what the future holds eh ;)

Ms.Redd: Now if only i could draw those classic pin up girls then i'm all set!

As for the text on white, i was thinking the same. It's quite refreshing actually and a little odd at the same time. After 4+ years of blogging in the dark, it suddenly feels like i've entered a whole new dimension trending on white.

But thanks for the comments! =)
