What is YOUR Label?

Isn't it strange how society, people, individuals manage ways of finding fault in others by means of ones' race, gender, sexual preference, physical attributes, religion, mental stability, social status or even as simple as their choice of entertainment.

And each day the list continues to grow.

Ones' first impression would be that Jealousy is what fuels their fire. Could it be the possibility of unknown rejection that somehow injured their ego? Or perhaps they have the need to feed on the misery of others to make themselves feel better about themselves. Or maybe it's just boredom and they need 'something' to occupy their time.

Or could it be as petty as a person finding fault in the choice of wardrobe and how 'girls' should dress a particular way. Or that the fact that the genes that their biological parents gave them, does not fit the cookie cut mold of what 'society' labels as Attractive or acceptable in their eyes?

But one could always argue it all comes down to personal preference and taste.

But who knows?

Which brings me to my next point. The typical scenario of the big kid on the playground finding ways of 'pulling' the weakest link down to their level, in order to feel superior. Let's call it Bullying.

When those innocent victims are left to defend for themselves, until they crumble and give in. Not because they are weak but because it is easier to agree than to continue to fight. A battle that begins on the playground and forever follows us to our death bed.

One would think that the World has advanced over the last decade and that the cross breeding of races and cultures has in fact benefited everyone in more ways than one. However, there are some who would beg to differ and continue to fight to keep 'their kind' free from pollutants and preach to the narrow minded minority.

What i find interesting, is how society continues to judge others based on first impressions. The common quote, "Don't Judge a Book by its cover" pinpoints my exact point. As corny and overused as it is, i find it so true in so many ways, be it in the work place, meeting strangers or even reading blogs. I admit, i have assumed many things, haven't we all?

Isn't it strange how the mind works?

But you know, when it comes down to things one does not understand or is not 'normal' in their terms, there are some who refuse to accept that there ARE people in this world that are different. Just as those who are obsessed with reading tabloids and gossip articles of the Rich and Famous in order to have their 2 cents worth of opinion across the table. How the paparazzi find ways of using what very little knowledge they have on them to belittle and crush them.

Which brings me to my next point about BLOGS.

It is nearly impossible to document EVERYTHING about oneself and to be honest, more than half the shit that goes on in ones' daily dramas is as exciting as watching paint dry. But yet, it is their choice to choose the topic of the day and voice out their issues via the world wide web. And to be fair, readers' have just as much right to critique and criticise the lives of others.

The only difference is, those who write the truth, usually don't sugar coat their content. And it is that brutal honesty that drives them to speak from their heart. Unlike those who are quick to criticise and judge others, those are the ones who have no heart and are usually the ones lying to themselves.

And i am sure there will be some who will disagree about what i have said, my advice to them is simple... You don't like what i write, then click your fucking browser CLOSED.
