Voodoo presents Bass Agents at Zouk on Saturday was nothing short but amazing! A memorable and fantabulous night where friends, lovers and haters came together under one roof. Although their set was about 2 hours, BA managed to play some hard hitting tunes! It was evident that they DID in fact manage to infect the minds of the local clubbers that Hard Dance is in fact here to stay!
I arrived with lainey just before 10pm and nestled at our regular pit stop [Terrace Bar]. There we found the Fairy, Puggy and stoopidfish chit-chatting over their beers. As we fuelled our sober bodies with some Happy Hour beer and greeted the many individuals who rawked up. More and more people started showing up within the two hours... [always a good sign of a good night]. It seemed like everyone i knew or would think would turn up, did. A mixed crowd of phat pants, t-shirts, denim, heels and handbags invaded Zouk's property.
The bouncers were frantically looking at IDs and the door chicks were trying to keep their cool searching for names in the mile long list. But because we're smart, we got our names ticked off waaaay before the line began and we walked back in with ease... it was about 12.30am. It didn't take long for the camwhore in us all came out and clickety-click there goes the flash.

Resident DJ Fono was behind the console, playing some progressive trance tunes. We made our way inside and it seemed like majority of the hustle and bustle was outside. The room wasn't packed yet but the punters were all hyped up, [it had been a while since Bass Agents played]. So as Fono warmed up the crowd and picked up the pace, so did the vibe in the club. By the time Bass Agents hit the decks, the clubbers/ravers were all wound up... It was such a great feeling.
The boys managed to play some quality tunes that were much harder then the usual BPM that spew out of Zouk's speakers. This time round the boys managed to feed the minds of the hungry clubbers with mix of hard house, hard trance and NRG. I had made my way on to the dance floor and jumped around amongst the others, exchanging smiles and people threw their arms up when a familiar track was dropped. It had been a long time since i had such a great night! And although not entirely sober by the end of the night, i made every effort not too drink so much, so i could actually remember their set. [FACT: Last time BA played at Zouk, i (and so many otheres) were soOoo intoxicated on Black Label, only difference is i can't remember them even playing... ahahha... According to Chook's credit card bill, he had signed for 12 bottles that night]!
Anyway, I looked up at Didjital and Xt-Acid who were jumping around behind the console and revving up the crowd... what a sight to be seen. The vibe was electric and positivity circulated in the air. I couldn't be more proud of them!!! Not only are they superstars in the making but the most amazing individuals i've come to know...
Much love and respect to Hoong aka Supaaaastar and Kenn aka DJ soft cock.... ehehhe!
